Which type of basin do I need?

Vanity basins sit on top of a vanity unit of the same width, for example a 600mm basin on a 600mm unit. Countertop basins sit on a worktop or flat-top vanity unit and usually need a tall or wall-mounted tap. Pedestal and semi pedestal basins hide pipework without a cabinet, and cloakroom and corner basins save space in small rooms.
